Everything multicardz can do

A complete guide to organizing, filtering, and discovering insights in your data through simple drag and drop.

Three ways to filter

Every filter in multicardz is a drag and a drop. Choose how you want to narrow down your cards by dropping tags into different zones.

Show (Union)
See all cards that have any of the tags you drop here. Great for casting a wide net.
Drop "urgent" and "important" → see cards with either tag
Filter (Intersection)
See only cards that have all of the tags you drop here. Perfect for finding specifics.
Drop "Q4" and "engineering" → see only Q4 engineering cards
Hide (Exclusion)
Remove cards with these tags from your view. Useful for clearing noise.
Drop "archived" → hide all archived cards from results

Drag cards and tags, not just filters

Everything in multicardz responds to drag and drop. Move cards between tags, select multiple tags at once, and position zones exactly where you want them.

Drag Cards to Retag
Drag any card onto a tag to add that tag. Drag it to a column header to move it there. No right-click menus, no modals.
Drag a card onto "urgent" → card is now tagged urgent
Multiselect Tags
Select multiple tags and move them together. Drop them into a zone as a group, or combine them into a permanent group tag for reuse.
Select "react", "typescript", "css" → save as "Frontend" group
Moveable Drop Zones
Drag filter zones to any edge of the screen. Left-handed? Put them on the right. Prefer everything at the bottom? Done.
Dock your filter zones wherever feels natural to you

See your data in columns, rows, or both

Don't just filter - organize. Drop tags into column and row zones to create layouts that match how you think about your work.

Columns
Group cards horizontally. Each tag becomes a column header.
Drop "To Do", "In Progress", "Done" → Kanban-style board
Rows
Group cards vertically. Each tag becomes a row header.
Drop "Team A", "Team B", "Team C" → see work by team
Matrix
Use both columns and rows to create a grid. Cards appear at intersections.
Columns: Status, Rows: Team → who's working on what
Common matrix views
  • Sprint × Team → workload distribution
  • Priority × Status → what needs attention
  • Quarter × Department → planning view
  • Client × Project Phase → account status
  • Category × Time Period → trend analysis
  • Assignee × Due Date → deadline tracking

Save views you use often

Built the perfect filter? Save it. Come back to it with one click. Share it with your team.

Example saved views
  • "My Tasks" → your assignments, sorted by due date
  • "Sprint Board" → current sprint in Kanban columns
  • "Team Workload" → matrix of people × status
  • "Weekly Review" → completed items from past 7 days
  • "Blocked Items" → everything waiting on dependencies
  • "Client Overview" → grouped by account, ranked by value

Four kinds of tags

Tags in multicardz aren't all the same. Different types help you organize in different ways.

🏷️
User Tags
Tags you create yourself. Add as many as you need to any card. The foundation of your personal organization system.
Examples: project names, priorities, categories, people, dates, anything you want
🤖
AI Tags
Suggested automatically based on your card content. Accept them with one click, or ignore them. They learn your patterns over time.
Examples: detected topics, sentiment, related concepts, suggested categories
📁
Group Tags
Collections of other tags bundled together. Drop a group tag and it expands to all its members. Perfect for common combinations you use often.
Examples: "Current Sprint" (contains sprint-47, active, assigned), "Frontend Stack" (contains React, CSS, TypeScript)
System Tags
Special tags that do things. Drop them to count cards, rank results, sort by time, or perform bulk updates. Analytics through drag and drop.
Examples: COUNT, RANK, SUM, SORT_BY_TIME, GROUP_BY_FREQUENCY

Analytics without leaving your workspace

System tags turn multicardz into a live analytics tool. Drag them onto your filtered cards to generate instant insights.

COUNT
See how many cards match each value. Instantly understand distribution.
"Enterprise: 47 cards, Mid-Market: 23 cards, SMB: 89 cards"
RANK

"#1: Alice ($1.2M), #2: Bob ($980K), #3: Carol ($750K)"
SUM
Add up numeric values across cards. Get totals without a spreadsheet.
"Total pipeline: $4.2M across 156 opportunities"
